Running through the back of Allenberry’s property, the world-renowned, limestone Yellow Breeches provides a convenient and easygoing fly fishing spot for those just learning the sport, or guest that want to fish steps from their room.
The nearby LeTort Spring Run prompted fly fishing legend, Charlie Fox, to remark, “these streams made us what we were as fly fishermen.” The LeTort’s skittish Brown Trout population will challenge and refine your skills as a fly fisherman.
The Brook trout population of Big Spring grow throughout the year due to stable temperatures and hatches. Big Spring is similar to LeTort in both the selectiveness of the trout and the shared reverence from some of the sport’s biggest legends.
